I'm the mom of sons in their 20's and we all have this belt. They like it because it looks casual and they don't have to remove it at the airport so they wear it every day. One son was walking back to his hotel in another country and got stopped by a crooked police who frisked him for money. My son had a lot of money in his belt but because it looks like a ordinary belt, instead of a big leather money belt that a tourist would wear, the police let him go and didn't get any money. The buckle does break eventually but at this price, we can buy new belts. We are all satisfied with this belt and will continue to recommend it to frends.

This is the second buckle to break. The first belt afer a year, on a trip w/no other belt. Spent $30 on the cheapest belt I could find in England. They replaced it with one that lasted 8 years but broke just (luckily) before my last trip. I wore it only on overseas travel so actually a total of about 120 days wear total. I have another web belt with a traditional two opening, pull through plactic buckle. I recommend a switch. I like that it goes thru metal detectors without a problem.
I would not recommend this without a better buckle. It's pretty embarrassing to have it suddenly break in public.

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:

Love this belt at TSA. You gotta take your belt off they say. Let me go through the machine and wand me if you have a problem, I say. They never do. The belt holds $900 in hundreds folded three together X 3. Would be easy to add another zipper and double the capacity - hint, hint. I'd pay more for that. Buckle is plastic - dah. Wouldn't go through the machines otherwise. So you treat it like you want it to last.

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:

I have 7 of these belts, bought over a period of 15 years, (obviously I really like this product). BUT, the BUCKLES are all BROKEN.
I have communicated twice with EC, with no satisfaction. I see they are still trying to promote and sell the same "under" designed BUCKLE. I have several EC products and WILL purchase more because they offer superior quality and style for a very fair price. This really, "best on the market", product Needs

The belt buckle broke in under the first 48 hrs of use. I bought it 2 months before my trip and it was too late to return so I'm stuck with a useless item.

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:

Great travel money belt. I would question the longevity of the plastic buckle, but it worked great while on vacation. Just fold the money lengthwise a couple of times and place in the zippered compartment. I will use it often for traveling.

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:

I do like this belt. i've been wearing one exclusively for over 10 years now. i have walking around "oh my!" cash on me at all times, whether i'm travelling or not. it does not look like a "money belt" and the plastic buckle goes through the airport scanners.

      but:
i'm on my fourth one. the buckle broke on the first three, and on the last one, the money-side zipper came apart. they are supposed to be warranted for life, but i got several years of daily use out of them, so i didn't bother. when the third one broke, i thought it time to use the warranty, but the process was a pain, i would have had to mail it back to them etc etc. so i just bought a new one on the big order place online.
      AND:
the belt is 2 inches shorter than they used to be!!! just enough shorter that the end doesn't stay in the belt loop on my pants, and constantly flops out. dorky! cutting it even shorter won't solve the problem. so i have to wear it with the buckle two inches to the left of center. also dorky

the re-designed belt buckle is awkward to open and close but it works - i'm getting used to it, we'll see if it last longer than the old version.

Used the belts to travel abroad. They were stylish, sturdy and you could not tell they were money belts. They could be a little wider so it would be easier to insert bills into.

Comments about Eagle Creek All Terrain Money Belt:

I just got a replacement belt as the buckle pivot on my original fractured. Given the overall low mileage on this belt (I only use it for travel), I believe this was poor original manufacturing. The original buckle was apparently made in Korea or Vietnam, by Woo Jin plastic; the new buckle is still made by Woo Jin, but the design looks a little more durable to me; it will all depend on how brittle this plastic turns out to be.

Dealing with Eagle Creek customer service by email was discouraging: form email sent in response to my query. Call the customer service line and instead you can talk to a friendly agent.

The belt is exactly practical as I need and anticipated. Yes it is slender and you need to carefully fold your money and passport copy to make it fit, but that is because this looks like a normal slim width belt. Convenient as I can go through Xray scanners and metal detectors without needing to take this belt off.
