I bought this bag to replace a soft-sided briefcase. Soft-sided bags have been my choice for close to a decade. This makes it possible to go from light loads to a heavily packed briefcase easily. I have gone through three bags, because I carry so much weight the single shoulder strap snaps eventually fail.

The Dane Brief includes straps for converting the bag to a backpack. This has turned out to be a great feature. I use it almost everyday now. I walk about 300 yards from car to office and even over that short distance it is a lot more comfortable to sling this bag over my back. This will help this bag last longer and will make this an excellent bag for those long airport walks.

The designers did a great job on the Dane Brief. It is super easy to divide up all the items a person wants to carry. The access to each item is very quick due to the divided sections, each with its own zipper. There is a padded laptop sleeve. All sections have internal dividers.

I carry a 15" laptop, iPad tablet, 8.5x11 paper files, 9x11 writing folder, chargers for all my electronic devices, wireless mouse, Leatherman, laser pointer, checkbooks, flashlight, flash drives, energy bars, magazine or two and stuff I've probably forgotten about. Whatever I need at the moment is only a single zipper away. I have found it super easy to get to what I need when I need it.

The build quality is excellent. Definitely worth the money.

This is a fantastic "On-the-Go"briefcase / backpack. It is my favorite because of the multi-function carrying capability and the easy access organizer pockets. I've been through many TSA checkpoints all smooth sailing! If you carry a computer, iPod, etc. and need a great looking functional business case -you need to take the Dane for a test spin.

This is an amazing bag. I love the multi-function carrying capabilities (Shoulder Strap and Backpack Straps). The bag has so many places to stash and protect which is exactly what I need for all of my electronics (iPad, iPhone and laptop). When I travel, I like that the bag slides over the telescoping handle on my luggage and the zippers have a locking security feature. Very cool!
