I've been using this bag for over 10 years and I have never regretted the purchase of the bag or using it on any particular trip. It is light when empty, a feature that is always valuable.

Through these years of use this bag has not suffered any failures and has been resilient in a variety of travel situations. I enjoy handles provided on top, center-front, and bottom. In my experience, those top and bottom handles are essential, sturdy, and well designed.

My suggestion to Eagle Creek would be to consider a 'short' companion to the 'laundry chute'. When packing, I use that large laundry chute pocket to corral flat items like documents, letters, postcards... When I'm on the go with the bag I could use an envelope-sized pocket (11 inches wide by 5 inches deep, say) at the top of the bag that can catch miscellany (perhaps a pen, a charger, a boarding pass, a receipt, a set of keys...) and hold it up there within reach when standing, waiting, and going about with the bag.

Great bag, would buy it again and would gift it to others as well.

Comments about Eagle Creek Load Warrior™ Carry-On:

We use these for leisure travel. Our load warriors are 2005 vintage and the wheels can't be replaced without sending in the bag. On the new bags it looks like the wheels are user replaceable, but can't tell and the specs don't say it. Alsom can't tell what the replacement wheels are. It looks like they are Item # EC0A2WHV but can't tell. On some EC bags you need a bolt cutter and replacement axle. Not sure what they are doing with these bags, hence a 3 star. If these aren't user replaceable (like mine) then 1 star only. If easy to replace then 5 star

Comments about Eagle Creek Load Warrior™ Carry-On:

hopefully they fixed this because I NEVER suspected that the bags have to be sent back to the factory in order to replace a wheel. My load warriors are around 10 years old, and I assumed EC had good product design, so I never pulled back the lining to see how wheels are mounted. On mine they are NOT user replaceable.

I'd be afraid to use this luggage on a trip through airports where the bag has to roll. I had wheels fail on one of my bags and I need to be able to carry a spare set of wheels with me.

Very poor design on my bags... check to see if they have fixed this before you buy

We purchased this because of the Eagle Creek name and lifetime warranty. The first time we used it, it ripped. Not only was I not allowed to return it, I had to either pay shipping or deliver it to the warranty center to get it fixed. I paid a lot for a bag that ripped on the first use, and now it is a complete hassle to get repaired. I would suggest staying away from Eagle Creek and their products. Extremely disappointing!

Comments about Eagle Creek Load Warrior™ Carry-On:

I purchased this bag for my 14 year old daughter to take to summer camp. I thought the laundry chute would be a great way to keep her clothing in order while separating the dirty clothes from the clean. It worked like a charm. She packed up a week's worth of clothes (in packing cubes), clipped her pillow on the top with the gear strap, clipped her sleeping bag on the front using the side compression straps, and was able to wheel the whole monstrosity down the stairs to the car and into the bus trailer.
The bag came back from camp in one piece, clean and neat. And not smelly. The packing cubes were smelly, but aired out in a day.
All in all, I am very impressed with this bag! Happy I purchased it.

Comments about Eagle Creek Load Warrior™ Carry-On:

It took me quite a few bags to find the carry-on that suited me.
This has been perfect. The weight is great, it is easy to pack and stuff more stuff in. I love the strap that allows me to clip the handles of a tote bag or purse to piggy back. The handles are in the perfect places to grab and lift. It is so easy to maneuver. The blue color is easy to identify among all the other carry ons on the luggage cart. My bag has traveled more times in the belly of the small CR 200's than in the clean overhead plane compartments and still looks great. It fits very nicely in the overhead plane compartments. I love this bag so much that now all my granddaughters have one. This is my favorite piece of Eagle Creek luggage.

Comments about Eagle Creek Load Warrior™ Carry-On:

I love this bag. I've had it for about two years and use it for trips from overnights to the 10 day I just spent in Thailand and Cambodia. It has fit in the smallest of overhead compartments and shad survived being checked on a budget airline in Asia. I'm by no means a 'light packer' but would suggest using packing cubes. I used a large, two mediums and a small, a small toiletry kit and pair of sneaker and still had plenty of room. Also took some school supplies and zipped them underneath the lining. The only 2 complaints that I have is that the bag shows dirt rather quickly and the wheels are starting to show wear and tear.

Comments about Eagle Creek Load Warrior™ Carry-On:

This is update of old favorite. My original Load warrior duffle version had good soft handles that narrowed slightly in middle for comfortable grip and later models had harsher and wider "soft" handles. But, with that caveat, I am comparing this item to that one. The handle has gone from U to T and T is not comfortable. It sits in webbing between fingers rather than on palm of hand. New outside pocket has moved from side of suitcase to top and intrudes into main compartment now. New front pocket is bigger. Soft handles a little too flexible, floppy. There is a new ring to help attach other pieces. The suitcase still opens so that the inside pocket zipper runs the long dimension so very accessible. Overall, the weight is down with handle change and a less rigid body. I hope that something can be done abut the T handle grip. It's a showstopper for me.
