Best Uses

  • Commute
  • Day pack

The bag itself is very light, good material, well stitched. It should last- if not it has the top end warranty.

This pack is basically one large compartment. The zipper opens to create a top load opening, and with the straps unbuckled you can unzip the whole length of the bag as well.

Inside there is a padded sleeve on the back for a laptop or tablet, and the back of the pack is padded, but the rest is just the thickness of the pack fabric. The laptop sleeve is stitched about an inch from the bottom of the bag to keep your device off the ground, but I'd still be careful.

On one side of the interior there is an inner pocket for something like a water bottle, however it shares the same side of the pack as the outside mesh pocket. If you have something rigid in either pocket, it becomes difficult to easily put anything in the other pocket as they are sharing the same bit of fabric and anything hard will protrude into the other pocket space.

The outer mesh side pocket is the standard backpack water bottle pocket, its a good quality stretchy mesh, a standard nalgene will fit.

On the inside there is a zippered mesh pocket under the opening flap when the main compartment is unzipped. This pocket is large, but only useful for very light objects, as when the bag is opened this part will fold down, and loaded with large or heavy objects it will flop all around, and the contents of this pouch will also be noisily shifting and sloshing around constantly every time you open the bag.

There's one other zipper pocket, on the outside opposite of the outer mesh pocket. The zipper is small, but the pocket itself is actually goes down to a few inches to create a nice sized pocket.

Overall its a good bag, just know its pretty light on the features and the (few) pockets aren't as useful as they could be. If you're looking for a solid, no nonsense top loader bag that is basically one large compartment, you probably wont find a better one with this price and this warranty.
