I've used several types of compression bags before and most all have failed. These however rock! Being flight crew we are limited in what we can take with us, these bags allow more items per suit case and keeps them dry and dust free. Also, an added benefit is the bags ability to self compress with altitude. Meaning, as the aircraft climbs, the bags expand and let air out (due to being packed in a finite space) as the aircraft descends , the one way check valves don't allow said air back in and thus the items are even more compressed. Only issue is wrinkling, but that's what irons are for! These bags haven't fail yet and in an unpressurized area, all the way up to 41000ft two to 3 times a day for the past 6 months! Great product, I'll be buying more!

I think they work well, my only problem is the valves that let the air out are right at the end of the clothes compartment. When I roll the compression sac the clothes compartment covers the valves so that it is hard for the air to be let out. I always feel that not all of the air is out because I have to compromise for the valves being so close to the clothes being compressed.

Comments about Eagle Creek Pack-It™ Compression Sac Set - S/M/L:

Used the small sac to load a thin sweater in, however when I tried to zip it the yellow piece came straight out. I was able to reattach it and zip it closed but now the yellow portion comes out all the time. I tried using the medium sac but it was not useful for my trip and was too bulky and I could not load much in it like the picture showed without being afraid it would rip open.

These bags are so useful for more that travel packing.
I should have purchased more...and probably will the text time I order. Wish the small size could also be purchased individually as I found these better for travel packing cloths for a day all together.

Second trip to asia for three weeks each. Flying, trains, buses to move around countries. With these bags, I could travel with compact sizes, yet take all I needed. Easy to load and unload for the many stops I made. Simple, durable and very usefull.

I have used the compression sacks about 6 times and they worked well until recently when the seals failed. Even after running the sealing tab back and forth across the bag while also squeezing the tab, they seal does not hold and immediately gaps open.
