I was stuck. I was alone, save our toddler, and stuck with a car seat, two carry on's, two checked bags, a stroller, and in a foreign airport. Okay, so it wasn't really 'foreign', it was just Salt Lake City, but it was certainly foreign to me and I could NOT get the (so-called) Smarte Cart our of the rack. There was no way I could possibly get all this stuff from baggage claim to the taxi stand in one trip. I would have to shuttle it all, leaving, at some point, some pieces of luggage unattended. Then I remembered my Switchback's backpack straps. I quickly whipped 'em out, donned the Switchback like a backpack, loaded up the stroller with our toddler, loaded up the other rolling bag with the carry-on's and was able to move out to the taxi stand - ferrying it all in one trip. If it hadn't been for the versatile Switchback, I could have been hosed. I've now taken this bag to Brazil, Iceland, Maine, and on numerous family trips. It's so versatile and dependable that I've been able to use the backpack for day hikes, not worried about checking glass and other delicate gifts when packed in the hard-sided main compartment, and even used it for the toughest duty of them all: organizing diapers, wipes, toys, outfits, night-night books, and more for our toddler. Overall, a superior bag, whether you're headed to Iceland or just stuck in the Salt Lake City airport.

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Africa and we used the carry on garment bag for all our dress clothes it was light weight and made an easy carry on for all of the airlines. The packing folders were great for keeping things neat and folded and for once my husband always knew where to find his clean socks and underwear which were packed in the pack it organizer. The money belt never had to be removed going through security it was a great for stashing cash. The Eagle Creek products we used kept our luggage always organized and ready to move on to the next destination. I can't wait to travel again to use more of the eagle creek line items because it makes traveling and packing much easier.

Just wanted to let you know that the bag has been working out super well. Have put over 100k miles into it already and going well. Whether pulling my 5 year old daughter, perched on it like the Queen of Sheba facing backwards through the airport, going to a race, schlepping water bottles course-side for VIPs or doing a 2-week trip around the world with only one bag, it has lived up to its reputation. Fantastic. On the plane to Paris as I write this; the bag will likely see some time bumping around the cobblestones of the famous Paris Roubaix bike race this weekend. I sing its praises and hold out Eagle Creek as a paragon of how customer service done right can make a customer for life. My boss, Gerard Vroomen, bought one based on my recommendation of your company and product. Others, too numerous to mention, have done the same. Thanks again.

The Price Is Truly A Bargain For Quality

This is an amazing duffel. Honestly...I can't stop looking at it. Another reviewer said it looked like something Jack Bauer would pick up from the airport. That sounded cheesy until I actually saw this thing. It is VERY HIGH QUALITY. I'm not sure if I can convey this in words. I live in a third world country and travel frequently. I ruined a cheap duffel in a matter of weeks. This Eagle Creek duffel is clearly designed to last. As in "every single detail has been thought out and designed to hold up under demanding conditions for a long time." That sounds like a product ad, but it's not. Down to the zippers I am in love with this duffel. It has the quality of an overpriced North Face or similar at a mere fraction of the cost. If you order this duffel, you will not be disappointed! I was somewhat anxious about spending money sight unseen, but this is clearly designed for abuse. I anticipate it holding up many years, and the price is truly a bargain for the utmost quality that you receive. I bought a small and a medium, and plan to buy a large and an extra large just because. If you are on the fence about this bag, DO IT!!!
These Bags Are Amazing

These bags are amazing and you will not be sorry when you purchase! I have 5 very active, well traveled kids and each one owns an ES Cargo Duffel (the model with compression straps) for their trips abroad, camping, to the beach, mountains and on our sailboat. I think the "No Matter What" duffels seem to be the new name for this model of bag. The bags look brand new even after years of use - not one has even threatened to burst, the zippers work great and they have stood up to the abuse that kids and airlines have thrown at them! The kids have the medium size and they easily hold a week's worth of gear (clothes, a few toys, books) for the trips we make. We also have two of the large size - one easily holds all our towels (7 beach towels, 7 bath towels). Now my husband and I plan to get one of these bags each - probably in size large - as we have gone through 5 inferior models (NOT Eagle Creek!) between us during the time the kids have had their bags! Great buy, we love them.
Separating Dirty Clothes

Used this for traveling through the entire USA on a Motorcycle (10'000+ km). Great for separating dirty clothes and keeping all clothes as small as possible. The "S" is really small but might be handy if you use a backpack. I recommend M & L for Motorcycle Cases and Bags with similar sizes.

An Excellent Versatile Trunk!

An excellent versatile trunk! Has been with me on a 2 week trip to Japan as well as multiple domestic flights around the U.S. Lots of room for several medium size pack-it folders in addition to a couple pack-it cubes. Outer pockets are also very useful, especially the one with the clip to hold your keys. This trunk is also carry-on size, which is great considering the extra luggage fees other bags procure.

Defiantly Sold on the EC Bag

I was searching for a nice looking luggage and something with a well planned organization compartments. And I happened to come across the Tarmac 25. What attracted me was the look of the bag and how it matched my age, I'm 20 and I didn't want to bring the good ol' traditional rigid luggage. When I opened up the Tarmac 25, I was amazed. The way the insides were organized blew me away. It had everything I need. One of the compartments that got me intrigued was the shoebox, I had never seen a luggage with one. It was perfect especially for a trip that's 3 months long! I could have my running shoes, extra pair of causal shoes and my slippers all in. The other compartment that I love is the stash cache which is ingeniously embedded at the bottom of the bag. Perfect for stuff like socks. Inside the bag, EC also included packing suggestions, which prompted me to check out the Pack-It System, and I must say, I'm sold! I got the Folder 18 which fits in perfectly to the Tarmac 25 and the Tube Cube, which fits snuggly on top of the Folder 18. I am defiantly sold on the EC bags and luggage and their packing system. I'm so sticking to their products.

My wife and I have used our Switchback 22's all over the US, Germany, Luxembourg and Sweden for the past 3 years and LOVE them. They are very durable (so tough even the airlines can't wreck them), convenient and easy to organize. We also love the lifetime fix or replace "no matter what" warranty. Don't know any other companies that have such confidence in their product.
I Don't Leave Home without Mine!

As a seasoned "back-packer" I remember, not so fondly, the early days of realizing that the item you want / need is ALWAYS at the very bottom of your bulging, badly packed rucksack! So many, many times did I have to tip the entire contents out (usually in the most impractical circumstances...at bus stops, or in airports), looking for that one illusive item; only to then have to re-pack it, badly, again, until the next time... A few years ago I discovered, through the most ingenious, practical Christmas present my Mum could have got me, the pack-it cubes! My backpack is now neat, organized, very quick and easy to pack (or un-pack...and re-pack!!) and the whole process is a delight! I have lost count of the number of fellow-travelers who have commented on my cubes and the number of times I've recommended this brilliant little product. I don't leave home without mine!
