I've owned this piece of luggage for 15 years and traveled all over the world with it. I know why they give lifetime guarantees, this thing is indestructible. It has taken a beating. I've used every aspect of it, hauled it over cobblestones and down dirt roads and carried it on my back. I love the detachable backpack. I often carry recording equipment. I love getting off the plane or bus, zipping it back on and having one less thing to carry.Th zippers are like new. It's brilliant. One difference with the new ones and my old one is that mine has flaps over the zippers, which I like a lot, keeps the rain out. Th new ones dont have this feature, so I'm keeping mine.

My husband and I just returned from a trip to Africa and we used the carry on garment bag for all our dress clothes it was light weight and made an easy carry on for all of the airlines. The packing folders were great for keeping things neat and folded and for once my husband always knew where to find his clean socks and underwear which were packed in the pack it organizer. The money belt never h

More than Advertised
By Double Yellow l

Does everything. Great for my international business trips. Great for our small plane to remote airports. Great for my wife who wants to take more stuff. Forget the complaint about locking the bag below. A small cable lock does the trick handle-2-handle.
Fantastic Product & CS Done Right
By Tom
from USA
Just wanted to let you know that the bag has been working out super well.Have put over 100k miles into it already and going well.Whether pulling my 5 year old daughter, perched on it like the Queen of Sheba facing backwards through the airport, going to a race, schlepping water bottles course-side for VIPs or doing a 2-week trip around the world with only one bag, it has lived up to its reputation.Fantastic. On the plane to Paris as I write this; the bag will likely see some time bumping around the cobblestones of the famous Paris Roubaix bike race this weekend.I sing its praises and hold out Eagle Creek as a paragon of how customer service done right can make a customer for life.My boss, Gerard Vroomen, bought one based on my recommendation of your company and product.Others, too numerous to mention, have done the same. Thanks again.

My Favorite Travel Bag
By Clark Kirkman
from Carlsbad, CA
I love the Switchback because it has enough room to fit all my stuff and still enough space to bring new things home. I mainly use it for vacation and longer trips when I need a big bag and a daypack. It's lasted many many trips and is still as good as new.I love the fact that if something goes wrong there is a No Matter What lifetime guarantee. The Switchback makes me look forward to the travel
These Bags Are Amazing
By Ebeth

These bags are amazing and you will not be sorry when you purchase! I have 5 very active, well traveled kids and each one owns an ES Cargo Duffel (the model with compression straps) for their trips abroad, camping, to the beach, mountains and on our sailboat. I think the "No Matter What" duffels seem to be the new name for this model of bag. The bags look brand new even after years of use - not one has even threatened to burst, the zippers work great and they have stood up to the abuse that kids and airlines have thrown at them! The kids have the medium size and they easily hold a week's worth of gear (clothes, a few toys, books) for the trips we make. We also have two of the large size - one easily holds all our towels (7 beach towels, 7 bath towels). Now my husband and I plan to get one of these bags each - probably in size large - as we have gone through 5 inferior models (NOT Eagle Creek!) between us during the time the kids have had their bags! Great buy, we love them.
Separating Dirty Clothes
By Oliver

Used this for traveling through the entire USA on a Motorcycle (10'000+ km). Great for separating dirty clothes and keeping all clothes as small as possible. The "S" is really small but might be handy if you use a backpack. I recommend M & L for Motorcycle Cases and Bags with similar sizes.
Worth Every Penny
By Lisa Wayne
I love how it converts to a backpack or can be wheeled.I also really find the daypack super-valuable.It has all the necessary compartments for a carry-on but can be used at my destination with the same value-add.It's like getting three products for the prices of one: Wheeled luggage, backpack, daypack.I have used it for domestic travel but I bought it for combo international/domestic need

By Mick
from Highlands Ranch
Had it on two trips--one to Italy and another to Vietnam. The irremovable day pack is great for air travel and carryon. Can then connect everything once you get to the destination.Back pack straps are good option when dragging the case on wheels is not!!I think it is great and helps make the trip alot easier with easy to organize necessary stuff readily available in the zip off day pack.

I have one of these and love the way it straps down to fit into an overhead.
