We have drug these all over the world and they still look new. Roomy, easy to pack, easy to move thru airports, train stations and shuttle stops. We have a total of 6 various Eagle Creek bags. We originally bought them because of the lifetime warranty, but we've never had to use the warranty! The bags are nearly indestructible.

This bag has junky zippers. Breaking twice in one year is not acceptable. Sure they will fix it for free (and have your bag for about one month) but that doesn't help you when you are traveling! Customer Service won't authorize a replacement, so if you buy this you will be stuck with a high priced bag that breaks repeatedly!

Comments about Eagle Creek Slate Blue Tarmac 29 Suitcase:

I do not know why the Eagle Creek website publishes old reviews for their current products as some of the information reviewed is irrelevant. I believe this review is the first one for the actual product listed on this page. This is a great bag. I originally purchased a 22" carry-on from this series, and I was so impressed with that bag that I also ordered the 26" and 29" suitcases. I plan on using this suitcase to haul lightweight dive gear (travel BC, fins, wetsuit, mask, snorkel, and few other items) and some clothes for dive vacations. My suitcase will not get a ton of use. The bag is very lightweight for its size. The fabric seems to be durable. All exterior pocket zippers are a puncture resistant design which have two rows of teeth. The telescoping handle operates smoothly and feels sturdy. The large wheels roll easily and are protected by their housings. Heavy wear areas are reinforced. The bag has plenty of handles to make it easier to carry. The blue color should stand out at most airports.

I haven't used it yet; however, it seems very solid and I called to register the product and they didn't require an S/N. They are very confident with the product and gave the impression taking advantage of the warranty will be easy.

    Tarmac 28 Travels!

Comments about Eagle Creek Slate Blue Tarmac 29 Suitcase:

I needed a lighter suitcase to hold all my clothes, etc. for my longer trips, and I did not want to go for 29 inches. I did my research ahead of time. I bought this in black and it does not disappoint t!! It is well made and gorgeous! It has quality weather resistant material to protect my things from London rain this fall, great wheels to go over cobblestones, strong zippers, and the inside is deep and beautifully lined. I intend to get a lot of use out of this suitcase filled with my stuff organized in packing cubes!!

I have not used this suitcase at this time. It arrived the day I was leaving and I wasn't going to repack.
My review is on the looks of this suitcase and the other Eagle Creek suitcases I own. They are great.
Lightweight (states that it weighs just over 10 pounds but it feels lighter). Sturdy. My other two cases are a carry-on and a under-the-seat bag which I like because you can put the smaller bag on top of the carry on.

Comments about Eagle Creek Slate Blue Tarmac 29 Suitcase:

Occasionally we need more room than our Tarmac 25 suitcases provide, so I bought a Tarmac 28, which has a much greater volume yet is still acceptable for airline baggage check. We like the models with two large wheels, not those with four smaller wheels. No reason for this, just our preference.
