I love this backpack! I use it for my small personal bag on trips by plane, train and automobile. I am able to carry all my important electronics (medium tablet with keyboard, DSLR camera, pocket camera, largish cell phone, mouse, mousepad, extra small drives and accessories), power cords, and Kindle, as well as a flat ID device that all contains all my ID, a tiny make-up bag, a bottle of water, travel size salt shaker, flashlight, tissue pack, keys, sunglasses, a bit of jewelry, and more! In other words, all my valuables. :)

It packs all those things well with the various pockets inside and out. It looks fantastic (I got the brown one with orange trim), and it is not too heavy, even fully loaded like I outlined above. However, it is a bit of a tight fit to include the fattish DSLR along with tablet with keyboard, Kindle, etc. in the main compartment. A teensy bit deeper main compartment would be preferable, mostly to accommodate the DSLR.

The only other issue I have had with this backpack design is not the fault of basic backpack design, but new rules at art museums. Many museums now require one to wear your backpack on your front(!), and I find that to be a completely uncomfortable and awkward way to wear this (as I'm sure it must be for most backpacks). Perhaps having a way to wear it over one shoulder (like the much huger purses some people carry into museums), with perhaps a detachable strap, or a way to hide one strap, would be a plus.

This backpack replaces an old, but loved Swiss army brand backpack of the same size that is worn out after years of use. I prefer the eagle creek weight and overall profile. However, I would pay more for a few more features such as: pen holders for at least three pens, pencils and sharpies, another change sized skippered pocket.
The location of the security pocket and cell phone pocket is wrong. It is located on the center divider in the small divider pocket. I would sew it to the divider between the small and large compartment. This trouble with the present location is that it is difficult to jam a phone, small wallet or passport in a divider that is floppy. Putting it on the divider between the two main backpack mail compartments will give it more stability as well as more security.

Comments about Eagle Creek Travel Bug Mini Backpack RFID:

I took this backpack (which my dad and I fondly nicknamed "the Bug") on a college trip to Bali, Indonesia in May. I had wanted the perfect bag that I could use as a carry-on on the way there but that could also pass as a "personal item" by the airline's standards (in other words, able to fit under the seat in front of me). This bag works perfectly as a personal item for Singapore Airlines and there were no issues - it fit everything I needed in a carry-on but was small enough to hold in my lap.

While in Bali, the bag worked great. At one time it fit a 1-liter water bottle and a bunched up sarong plus loads more and didn't even feel heavy on my back. It's well padded and very compact. Went everywhere with me!. I highly recommend the Bug for anyone who wants the perfect daypack or travel bag.

Comments about Eagle Creek Travel Bug Mini Backpack RFID:

This is one of the few products without a video. Had I seen this item next to a person, I would have recognized how very small it is. My 3-year-old grandson actually has a pack larger than this. Perfect, perhaps, for running around town, but not as good for an overseas flight. It looks very durable and well-made, and the color is great. I would love to see this design in a larger size.

Comments about Eagle Creek Travel Bug Mini Backpack RFID:

Living in the city I needed a compact bag that I could keep with me form the time i leave the house at 6 am to the time I come home at 10pm. This bag is great! It fits more than you would think a day pack could, and is comfortable for all day wear. I bought this bag after my previous Eagle Creek day pack, that I had for 14 years, and couldn't be happier!

Comments about Eagle Creek Travel Bug Mini Backpack RFID:

The Eagle Creek Travel Bug was a little smaller than I imagined, but ended up being the perfect size for my daily comute into the city. It holds my lunch, umbrella, and little nicknacks perfectly. I always hated carrying a half full backpack on my way, than a half empty back home. I a little concerned about the light weight perforated construction that actually looks great, but will it hold up after everyday use? All in all, I'm very satisfied with this versatile little backpack.

Comments about Eagle Creek Travel Bug Mini Backpack RFID:

I wanted a bag I could carry without pain to my back. The crossover strap sort of bag seemed to cause back pain. This backpack distributes the weight evenly and thus it doesn't cause back pain at all. I like the overall size, and size and number of pockets too: all my stuff fits in perfectly. I like the placement of the back 2 zippers. It's a comfortable back to wear. I don't like backpacks with straps hanging all over them, and this pack just has the 2 shoulder straps. My only complaint is the tensioner portion of the shoulder straps are too long at 20 inches. Swing the pack off my back, and the straps sweep through anything on the ground (or the restroom) as I lower the pack on the offswing. I carry the pack while on foot as I make my way around The City, and it's good in the car when I commute around. Sturdy, so far. I like the tan color.
