The layout of this bag is nearly perfect for the traveling professional on a short trip. However, these materials are just not appealing to me. I hate that perforated looking material, it looks like that super-cheap disposable stuff. Would it kill you guys do make a decent full size carry on with black ballistic nylon and some tasteful leather accents? You guys used to make good stuff, but for the last several years, all the designs look like they are for teenagers.

Great bag, no complaints

Took this bag on my first trip recently. I was dubious as to whether it was truly worth the steep price, since it does not come with any of the packing cubes, etc.; that all costs extra. It's a really great bag so far even without any accessories. The size is really ideal compared to the smaller wheeled bags and many of the bags marketed to women as weekenders (talk about horrible straps on some I checked out). I loved how easy it was to take out the backpack straps without any further instruction, and the outer pockets are very roomy. Too many bags I comparison shopped for had rigid, huge laptop sleeves, whereas this one is perfectly functional without taking up so much real estate or changing the load too much. I ordered the blue color, which is nice looking and my preferred color, though next time I might get the lighter green so it doesn't show lighter dust/dirt/etc. (or just don't put it on the ground a bunch like I did). I'll probably wind up springing for a couple accessories so I can pare down my bag size on more restrictive airlines going forward. Overall I'm really pleased and hope it holds up for many years. My boyfriend was eyeing it compared to his old bag and I think he'll be getting one for Christmas...

Needs one thing

This bag looks great however it would be better if there was a pocket that could open on both ends to slip over the double handle of the EC rolling bags.

Great design/size, material/look leaves it short of perfect

I love the concept, fits exactly what I need for a 2-3 night trip, and will fit in the overhead of smaller regional jets, allowing you to avoid the "gate check" feeding frenzy. Unfortunately for my needs, the look of the bag put me off. The front mesh pockets are made of a thin material that's almost shiny. Just looks a little cheap in my opinion. Not sure how it will hold up over time. I was expecting a ballistic nylon type of material.

3 weeks in Egypt.

Just got back from three weeks in Egypt. I purchased the safari green Converge for this trip and it worked out beautifully. It fit all my clothes, shoes and toiletries nicely. Never did I have to check the bag, I used it as a carry on only. After my trip the bag is still in great condition; it's clean with no rips or tears or breaks. I purchased the entire package with the packing cubes and I'm glad I did. It really helped organize my bag.

Sharp looking, light weight, flexible and spacious carryon

5

I bought the safari green color which is a good "neutral" and is more easily identifiable that the black or dark blue versions. Good looking with plenty of features and separated compartments make for efficient packing and retrieval. The back pack design and light weight construction are useful when walking a distance especially over uneven ground when "wheels" never cope well. However I especially like the fact that it converts to a neat looking little suitcase when you want to look like a non back packer...

Exactly as advertised

Very lightweight, well organized. Fits easily in smaller overhead bins. Fully loaded with a laptop, clothes + an extra pair of shoes and it gets fairly heavy to rely on the shoulder strap, which is narrow and only lightly padded.
