I am happy I bought it

4

Went traveling in Europe for two months and knew I needed a pack that would hold all my stuff but also have removable storage for day trips and such. I read some poor reviews and was hesitant on the purchase but after using it didn't encounter any of the problems that were talked about with parts breaking. Not saying it won't happen to you, it just didn't happen to me. The day pack worked wonders and had a spot for lock to be put on so my valuables were safely out of my pockets where pickpockets could easily get to. The main pack worked as intended as well. Was big enough to fit everything i needed for hostel jumping while also lived up to the abuse of TSA and being stuffed under a bus repeatedly. Down side is that it doesn't really have a rain cover and never used the duffle bag feature. the removable daypack could use more secure top fastens to keep it tighter on the top but was secure overall. Moral of the story is I was hesitant buying it but everything worked as intended without anything breaking and met all my expectations.

Perfect backpack to travel with

5

I used this backpack to travel around Europe by train, plane, metro, and subway for two months. Very slim profile, pretty comfortable, and the waterproof cover worked perfectly. I also used the cover for extra protection when I checked it on the airline. Have had zero issues/complaints with it so far, and will continue to use it on all of my trips!

Not built to last

1

This product is not worth the money. It wears down quickly and will not last. Used it during a 5 day hiking trip and both the seams attaching the bag to the bottom belts are coming undone and the inside cracked an hour into the trip. Do not buy this pack. It will not last and it's worth it just to spend more on a quality pack from somewhere else since it will last.

Disappointing

2

I purchased this backpack trying to avoid the extremely high prices of REI and give my business to a private company. I was attracted to this bag immediately. It really does look awesome. Unfortunately it is not very comfortable. I am on a year long trip around Asia and am finding out that with about 40lbs of gear the shoulder straps are almost unbearable. They are narrow and dig in to my shoulders even with most of the weight positioned on my hips. I regret not being able to try it on first.

Great Backpack for Hiking Trips or for Travel

5

I looked at traditional hiking backpacks, but they were too specialized. This one has all the features for "Backpacking through Europe" (or Asia, South America, Africa, North America), including locking zippers, travel/rain cover, removable mini pack. It also was comparable to the expensive hiking backpacks that are only used on weekend/week long backpacking trips. I liked the ability to use this for outdoor backpacking as well as travel.

Durable Pack!

5

This is a great pack! I love the practical functionality of it. It's also super comfortable and light weight. It has all the features IVe been looking for and more! It would be nice if the hip belt pockets were bigger and the front back a little more substantial. Otherwise this pack is awesome and I'm looking foreword to many years of use. Great work Eagle Creek!
