Great Suitcase

5

We go on one 2-week vacation each year, sometimes domestic and sometimes international. My (very cheap) old suitcase's fabric was starting to rip apart (after more than 10 years of use-- it did pretty well), and I bought this as a replacement, hoping it would last me forever. It's been on two trips so far, and I love using it. It is very sturdy, has excellent capacity, and my favorite part is its huge wheels. They can traverse any terrain with no pain (for example, cobblestone sidewalks in Europe). I can roll it up and down curbs without having to lift it. The giant wheels also help me identify it when it arrives at the baggage claim (bonus!). The only con is the price-- even on sale, these suitcases are pricey-- but if it lasts, it will have been worth it.

Lightweight and sturdy

We travel enough to actually wear out luggage. Really. With the airlines restricting weights, especially with carry-ons, you need to use Eagle Creel Pack its to maintain some sort of organization among clean clothes, underwear, socks and the daily use of underwear and where to store the clean and items that must be kept separate from your clean clothes, We chose a while back to not cram the Pack It bags so much that they are not flexible and take up too much room so you can't put more into the luggage. It's not unusual for us to travel for several weeks, especially in Europe. We don't always have access to good laundry facilities, sortable from one location as our base where we can get our clothes laundered. We still have had to operate for longer than two weeks without a break. With each of us having a a larger bag, it's still struggle to organize just how can maintain a well groomed appearance without looking like an unmade bed. That's where our Adventure Uprights come in. We rare able to take pretty much all the clothes we fell we will need and not go over the weigh restrictions, especially with our carry-ons and photography equipment. Yes, our photo gear is always carried in a back pack, so our checked baggage just has clothes. The Pack It system works perfectly for organizing clothiers, dopp kits , rain gear and heavier jackets required in colder climates. We love the whole concept of Eagle Creek knowing what travelers require and providing items really designed for travelers, especially international types.

Zippers are not durable

2

The luggage is disappointing as the fabric is not a sturdy and durable as other suitcase I've had. However, the most disappointing are the zippers. I have used the bag twice and the front zippers are broken. When I contacted EC about repairs, I was told that I must pay to ship it to their service center! It is their poor quality causing the problem yet I must pay. Not good!

Eagle Creek rocks!

5

This is our second set of Eagle Creek luggage in 10 years, and are very happy with our choice. The EC Adventure Upright 28 is ideal for us in terms of being large enough for a 2-4 wk adventure, but not bulky at all. We originally purchased online a slightly smaller version, and upon realizing it was too small, we contacted EC to get it exchanged, and they made the exchange a true customer service experience. Congrats guys!

Not as durable as previous Eagle Creek

2

We bought 4 of these less than a year ago, and 2 already have to be sent back for "defects" (seams, etc). Our last Eagle Creek bags were large rolling duffle bags and lasted many years with only 1 repair. Do NOT order the orange-tan fabric if traveling airlines... they get black cargo belt marks everywhere that don't come out!
