Great but a couple of niggles

How did I carry everything before it became acceptable for a bloke to carry a 'handbag'! Have had a few similar bags before but this is the best so far. Couple of small niggles. After 18 months the material at the top back has started to 'pill' and now the edge has worn to the liner at one point. Regretful because although it is used daily for my commute and to keep all my essentials in it lives in a desk during the day so it is not overused. Second point is that the padded pocket for the mobile phone is great except the metal zip on the inner pocket rests on the exposed part of the phone risking scratches and an impact crack from the metal slider. Putting the zip right to left would solve this

Manbag man!

the bag I've been looking for!

Only downside is that the colours are uninspiring. However, I went for black and added some of your lime green zip pulls. The key lanyard is a bit too inaccessible for me, but it was easy to swap it over to hang on the ring at the centre of the down flap.

Fatal flaw!

Full disclosure: I have not purchased this. My first Eagle Creek shoulder bag (gift from my mum!) got me thru 2 years of fieldwork in montane Ethiopia 1998-2000. However, its top zip was NOT covered by the flap and a pickpocket stole my entire month of fellowship funds ($1000) on the way home from the bank in Frankfurt in 2008. Following that horrible experience, I bought a similar bag from Mtn Equip Coop in 2008 with one key distinction: it had a flap that went OVER the main pocket's zip, protecting it from thieves. That sadly wore out last year, and MEC was not making the same stuff. How happy I was to find the Eagle creek guide trek with this same essential feature: top flap starts BEHIND the main pocket, and protects it from busybodies. I bought the Guide Trek last year, and thank heavens I did, because this new product (replacing the eagle creek guide trek) once again positions the flap in front of the main zip, leaving the main compartment unprotected. Sure, it says the main zip is lockable. Folks, how many of you want to be dealing with a lock? On your purse? Just position the flap BEHIND the zipper and everyone is safe with no fuss. I won't be buying this. Eagle Creek, please go back to a sensible design!!! PS: I LOVE my Guide Trek, just wish it were a bit bigger...

I would recommend this bag to anyone

It's a good size bag, once I remember which pocket I put things into

My 3rd Eagle Creek courier bag... same style... I have worn out two previous... still serviceable, but no longer crisp. The new space for a tablet RFID blocker are much appreciated.

This is my "go-to" bag not only for travel, but also for daily use.

Superb security and ease of use! Loved it!

I love the flap, that covers the main pocket to provide the most maximum security I've ever had in a bag. The locking zippers, and grommet, are a life saver. It might take you a moment, to access the main pocket, but that keeps thieves and pick-pockets at bay! It is super lightweight, and comfortable to wear.

Light - great

Wish handle was larger or i could sew one on.

Haven't used it much. Handle too small for easy use. I could sew on a bigger handle but that would void the warrantee. Right?

excellent bag

Great product, very well made, organized compartments. Wonderful to have the RFID feature. Fits well inside my backpack for carry-on.
