Great!... but small

Functional and sleek design - stands up to more 'designy' brands. My only qualm is that at 16L, it's a little small if you're traveling and wanting to throw in a light jacket / hoodie along with your guide book and other small items. I wish Eagle creek would offer a slightly larger version - say 24L (like Herschel) or even 30L. I really loved the bag, but I returned it because I think the size is a bit limiting, even for a travel daypack.

the most useful piece of travel gear i ever owned

5

I bought this in anticipation of a trip to Spain, where there would be day hikes, etc. Also, since I planned to check my suitcase through, I also needed something to hold the travel gear I would need during the long flights, and/or if my luggage got delayed or lost (medicine, travel info, book, etc) This backpack made all the difference! I was able to consolidate: put my purse and everything else inside so that I wasn't carrying anything on my arm, liable to get left somewhere. It was my footrest on the plane. It carried water and snacks on day hikes in Spain. It carried purchases, my phone, maps. I even cut a piece of closed-cell foam to fit the side of it: I could use it to cushion my back when hiking, to protect against pickpockets in cities, I took out the foam to sit on during long flights, etc.

Have Black and red daypack backpacks. Now want orange!

5

I've used both my black and red daypacks for years, most for airplane travel and day hikes, but also for shopping because of need to bring your own bag (California laws now require stores to charge for bags to discourage waste). Now, I'd really like an orange version for hiking and for my CERT stuff (CERT = community emergency response team)

Amazing

I was amazed at the pack. It folds to a small less than little package, but it is quite nicely sized and comfortable to wear for what it is.

Would recommend

Nice and an excellent value. It appears well made for such a lightweight product. I just received it, but with the Eagle Creek commitment to excellent service I am not worried about it having problems down the road.

Not so much recommendable compare to the price. We get something cheaper for this type of bag.
